Man, I was nervous Saturday. In fact, I did not watch the first quarter of the game. I chose to put mulch on parts of the landscaping in my backyard and listen to Munson.
I decided to watch a visual after Southerland's touchdown to make it 7-0.
My thoughts on the game ...
1. Our defense from top to bottom is doing an incredible job. If you can find a single complaint with our defense it is the yardage we have given up in the passing game. More on that later.
2. Our offensive line owned the vaunted Vol front four. If there was one area of the game where the Dawgs off-week vs. UT 3 games in 14 days was most apparent - it was here. The Hawaiin can of whup-ass was a factor and will be a great player in the NFL, but the rest of the Vol line appeared to wear down and become non-factors as the game went on.
3. CMR has supreme confidence in DJ Shockley. Shock has reinforced that confidence with his play after a mistake.
